International Financial Services
The Department of the Taoiseach has a co-ordinating role in relation to the development of the International Financial Services Industry in Ireland.
This is overseen by the IFSC Clearing House Group, which includes representatives from Government Departments, relevant State Agencies and the International Financial Services Industry.
The Taoiseach launched Building on Success, a new strategy for the future development of the industry in September 2006. This report builds on the Government's Strategy for the Development of the International Financial Services Industry in Ireland that was published in March 1999. It was agreed that the Clearing House Group would monitor the commitments in the strategy and report back to Government on the progress achieved. Building on Success - Progress Report was presented to Government on 23rd July, 2008.
A study on the Future of the International Financial Services Sector in Ireland –Deloitte and IDA Ireland – was published in September 2004
In January 2001 the Government approved a Report, e-Business in International Financial Services: Developing Ireland's Potential: Proposals for Action
