Information Society Fund

The Information Society Fund was established by Government in1999 to facilitate development of objectives set out in the Governments Action Plan on the Information Society, New Connections.  The Fund is operated in partnership between the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance, with an Evaluation Board drawn from both Departments and administration provided by CMOD.

It is envisaged that the Fund will operate until 2005. Since its implementation in 1999 a total of €206.6 Million has been made available in the Fund. €42.667 million has been allocated in 2004, with about €35 million of this having been allocated to individual Departments to support specific Information Society initiatives.  

Prospective applicants should read the IS Fund Guidelines in full before making any application. An Application Form is provided, as are full instructions as to how this should be completed.
