30  March  2010 -  Statement by Minister of State Dara Calleary, T.D, Agreement reached with Public Service Unions on an Agenda for Public Service Transformation

Commenting on the agreement reached between Public Service management and unions, the newly appointed Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance with responsibility for Public Service Transformation, Mr. Dara Calleary, T.D., said "I am pleased that these discussions have resulted in agreement, which will now be subject to ratification. It is vital that we maximise the contribution that the Public Service can make to sustainable economic renewal and this will be enabled by the many important transformation commitments which have now been agreed by management and unions".

11  February  2010 -  Irish nominee to the European Court of Auditors.

The Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen, T.D., announced today (Thursday 11th February, 2010) that the Government has decided to nominate Mr. Eoin O’Shea for appointment by the Council of the European Union as a Member of the European Court of Auditors.

09  February  2010 -  Appointment of Secretary General to the President

The Government have announced that, following consultation with the President, Mr Adrian O’Neill, who is at present Director-General of Anglo-Irish Division in the Department of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary General to the President.
