Michael Brennan
Currently employed in the tourism sector in Adare, he was born in 1946 and is married with five children. He is a Member of Limerick County Council since 1983, topped poll in electoral areas in last two local elections and served as Chair of the Council in 2001. He is involved in voluntary housing groups in the Limerick area. He was educated at C.B.S. Adare.
Michael Kitt
Public Representative. Former primary teacher. Former TD for old constituency of Galway North East (1975-1977) and Galway West (1981-2002). Former Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach and Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Emigration issues and Third World issues, 1995-1997. He is married with four children.
Brendan Kenneally
Public Representative. Formerly accountant. Former TD for Waterford Constituency (1989-2002). Former Minister of State at Department of Tourism, Transport and Communications. Party deputy spokesperson on Equality and Law Reform (1994-1997). He is married with three children.
Cyprian Brady
A former Civil Servant. He is married with two children. He went to school at St. Josephs, Fairview. He joined the Civil Service in 1981 and served in a number of Departments. He is a member of Fianna Fáil since 1979. He has various sporting and cultural interests.

Senator since 1997, elected on the Agricultural Panel.
Kate Walsh
A noted community activist, Cllr Kate Walsh has held the honorary position of Mayor of her native Celbridge for the past 15 years. Aged 53 years and a widower, she is also a Peace Commissioner in the town. Her involvement with community and voluntary organisations goes back over 30 years. She is also a respected member of Kildare County Council, and has the unique distinction of having gained the highest personal vote nationally, when she contested the local elections in 1999 for the first time. Kate Walsh is also a member of Kildare VEC. She contested the recent General Election in Kildare North as a Progressive Democrats candidate and won 12% of the first preference vote.
Tom Morrissey
Tom Morrissey is aged 46 and originally from Cashel, County Tipperary, but has lived in Castleknock in Dublin since 1981. Married to Betty, he has three teenage sons and is a company director in a printing, binding and advertising business. He was first elected to Dublin County Council in June 1991, and was re-elected to Fingal County Council in June 1999 where he currently holds the position of Vice Chairman. Tom is a member of a number of local community groups in Castleknock. He contested the recent General Election in Dublin West as a Progressive Democrats candidate and won 8% of the first preference vote.

Served as a Seanator since 1989.
John Minihan
John Minihan is the Chairman of the Progressive Democrats Party. He grew up in Douglas in Cork but now lives in Montenotti with his wife Trish and two sons. Aged 44, he is a retired Army Captain of 21 years service. He served three tours of duty in Lebanon. In 1996 he retired from the Defence Forces and took over the management of a family pharmacy in the city centre. John was first elected to Cork Corporation in 1999. He is a member of the South West Regional Authority, Cork Chamber of Commerce and Cork Business Association. He contested the recent General Election as a Progressive Democrats candidate in Cork North Central and gained 7% of first preference votes.
