Taoiseach Welcomes Cork Twins Home

The Taoiseach has welcomed Cork twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf home from London today following their successful surgery in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

Speaking in Ballina this afternoon the Taoiseach said, "It's a very heart warming story today, the twins coming home. They have been great battlers since December when they were born."

The Taoiseach added, "to have the Air Corps to provide the facility to bring them home is just an indication how all of us in the community are delighted that this has worked out for their family, for their parents and for themselves. And to have an Irish born surgeon involved in Ormond Street Hospital looking after the children was a wonderful added part of the story. So we wish them and the family well in the months and years ahead."
