No. 28 of 2002 - Appropriation Act 2002

What does this Law do:

This is an annual law which gives statutory authority for the amounts voted by the Dáil during the year in original, and supplementary, estimates.  It is passed by the Dáil when consideration of all Departmental Estimates (including supplementary Estimates) has been finalised.  It is usually the last item of legislative business of the year.  The Act also includes a technical provision to allow for deferment of the end of year deadline for the Financial Resolutions passed on Budget night.
