No. 8 of 2003 - Local Government Act 2003

What does this Law do:

This Act is a short technical Act relating to the validity of  certain  bridge orders. A bridge order is a Ministerial order authorising  the  construction of a new bridge as provided for in the Local Government Act 1946.  In light of the repeal of the 1946 Act provisions (as part of a major programme of modernisation and consolidation of local government  law)  this  Act  is  intended to safeguard certain transitional bridge orders by  providing for the continued application of the 1946 Act provisions to them.
