No 17 of 2005 - Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse (Amendment) Act 2005

What does this law do?

This Act amends the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse Act 2000 to give effect to the recommendations of Mr. Justice Sean Ryan contained in his report on the workings on the Commission.

It provides for a number of largely technical amendments to the Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002, and provides a statutory framework for the operation of an Education Fund for former residents of certain institutions and their families.
