No 23 of 2005 - The Interpretation Act

What does this law do?

Interpretation Acts are found in almost all legislative jurisdictions and are used as a means of providing general rules for the interpretation of laws.  This Act, which is primarily of interest to the legal community, simplifies the reading of laws.  It also modernises the language of rules and definitions found in previous Acts.
