Response to queries on tender for two servers
Question 1. As this is a lotus notes Domino Server in order to ensure that the server meets your needs going forward do you have a profile of users that will be served by this system.
Answer: These servers are used to house a number of extranets. Users will be accessing the
application via the internet.
Question 2. Is future capacity within the server required. ie extra disks
Answer: The RFT outlines the minimum requirements at this stage and we have allowed for some
expansion. Tenderers are free to put forward any further suggestions they may have.
Question 3. Are these Servers being clustered ?
Answer: One server will be the live server and one will contain replica copies of the databases
housed on live server as backup
Question 4. Are we expected to install the hardware (serers and rack) and cofigure the software?
Answer: Yes, tenderers will be expected to install the hardware and configure the OS. However, they
will not be expected to install and configure Lotus.
