Taoiseach meets with Finucane family

The Taoiseach Mr Bertie Ahern TD, today, Thursday April 24th, 2008, met with Geraldine Finucane and family and after the meeting said “I was glad to be able to meet with Geraldine and the Finucane family once more today, especially in the light of their recent correspondence with the British authorities.

" Geraldine and the Finucane family have travelled a long and difficult road in their search for the truth.

"I reiterated the Government’s continuing support for a public inquiry into Pat’s murder. That position has full all-party support in Dáil Eireann.

I also wished Geraldine and the Finucane family well for the future."
