Taoiseach congratulates Barnes on Olympic Bronze

The Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen TD, congratulated Paddy Barnes on his Bronze medal after a tough fight in Beijing at the 2008 Olympics.

The Taoiseach said " congratulations to Paddy on the achievement of a Bronze medal today. To win an Olympic medal is a highlight of any career, and Paddy can be proud of how well he fought to reach today's semi-final and he deserves his success."
