Taoiseach congratulates Sutherland on Olympics Bronze Medal

The Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen TD, this morning congratulated Darren Sutherland on winning a Bronze Medal in Beijing at the 2008 Olympics.

The Taoiseach said " Darren's performance inside and outside of the ring, while representing Ireland was exceptional and something that his family can be very proud of.

" We also send our best wishes to Kenny Egan and Paddy Barnes ahead of their Semi Final bouts today."
