Taoiseach to meet with Luxembourg Prime Minister Juncker and Chancellor Merkel

The Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., will today Wednesday 3rd December, travel to Luxembourg to meet with Prime Minister Juncker and onwards to Berlin for an evening meeting with Chancellor Merkel.

The meetings which are part of a series of consultations with EU Heads of State and Government will focus on the situation in relation to the Lisbon Treaty ahead of next week's European Council. Other EU issues, notably the climate change and energy package and the international financial crisis, are also likely to feature.
