TAOISEACH ATTENDS FIRST MEETING OF INNOVATION TASKFORCE

The Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., will today, (17th July) attend the first Innovation Taskforce meeting which will be held in Government Buildings.

The Taskforce was established on the 29th June 2009 to advise the Government on its Strategy for positioning Ireland as an International Innovation Hub.

The Taskforce will examine how Ireland can increase innovation and commercialisation, intensify foreign direct investment in high-value areas and develop Ireland's indigenous enterprise sector.
