Speaking at today's event the Taoiseach said " I am delighted to to celebrate PayPal's official opening of their new European Centre for Operational Excellence, which will result in the creation of up to 35 highly-skilled jobs, I am also delighted to announce a new investment of more than €15 million here at Ballycoolin, which will cement PayPal’s long term commitment to Ireland."
The Taoiseach also said " the opening of this Centre, which is supported by Government through IDA Ireland, is a very positive boost for the digital enterprise sector. This latest investment is a significant endorsement by PayPal of its Blanchardstown facility, where employment has grown to 900 staff in five years. It also represents a major vote of confidence in Ireland as a location for investments of importance to an international company’s future growth and development worldwide. "
" This investment illustrates that Ireland has the capability and the capacity to continue to attract quality overseas investment, even in the current difficult global economic climate."
