Taoiseach Meets President Obama for St Patrick's Day Celebrations

The Taoiseach is attending the traditional St Patrick's Day celebrations in the White House today.

The Taoiseach will have a bilateral meeting with President Barack Obama this morning.

The Taoiseach and the President will then travel to Capitol Hill for the St Patrick's Day lunch hosted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.

This evening, President and Mrs Michelle Obama will host a White House Reception in honour of the Taoiseach and Mrs Mary Cowen.

In the first engagement of the day, the Taoiseach and Mrs Mary Cowen will join Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr Jill Biden for a special St Patrick's Day breakfast at the Vice President's official residence.
