Appointment of Secretary General to the President



The Government have announced that, following consultation with the President, Mr. Art O’Leary, at present a Principal Officer in the Department of the Taoiseach, and until recently Secretary to the Convention on the Constitution, has been appointed Secretary General to the President.

His appointment arises from the earlier appointment of Mr. Adrian O’Neill, currently Secretary General to the President, as Second Secretary General in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  

Mr. O’Leary will take up duty shortly.
